Stephenson'S Bran Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. each: 100% All-Bran and Raisin Bran flakes
    1/4 c. raisins
    1 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Soak cereals and raisins in milk for 5 minutes.
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Beat in egg until smooth.
    Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture alternately with cereal mixture.
    Do not overmix.
    Fill greased muffin cups 2/3 full. Bake at 400\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
