Special Goodie Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. light corn syrup
    1 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. peanut butter
    3 Tbsp. margarine
    8 c. dry cereal (good way to use up stale cereal: Cheerios, cornflakes, Rice Krispies, preferrably unsweetened; mix several kinds)
    6 oz. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Combine corn syrup and sugar and bring to boil.
    Add peanut butter and margarine; blend well.
    Put cereal in large bowl and pour hot mixture over; stir until well coated.
    Spread in a 9 x 13-inch pan and cover with chocolate chips.
    Put under broiler until chips spread easily.
    Chill and cut into bars.
