Apple Praline Squash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 medium acorn squash, halved lengthwise and seeds removed
    1/2 c. water
    1/4 c. butter
    1 large cooking apple, cored and cut into 3/4-inch pieces
    1/3 c. packed brown sugar
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 Tbsp. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Heat oven to 400\u00b0.
    In a 13 x 9-inch baking pan, place squash cut side up.
    Pour water into pan.
    Cover with foil.
    Bake for 40 to 50 minutes or until tender.
    In an 8-inch skillet, melt butter. Stir in apple, brown sugar, cinnamon and vanilla.
    Cook over medium heat (3 to 4 minutes).
    Spoon an equal amount into baked squash half.
    Sprinkle with pecans.
