Swiss Steak - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c flour seasoned with salt and pepper and 1/2 tsp paprika
3 lb round steak
2 onions, sliced
1 tbsp oil
2 c cooked tomatoes or canned
Preparation

Pound seasoned flour into both sides of round steak (2 inches thick).
Brown 2 onions in hot oil in heavy skillet.
Remove onions and brown meat well on both sides.
Top with onions and add tomatoes.
Cover and cook slowly until tender, 2 1/2 to 3 hours. 8 to 10 servings.
