Ingredients

1/2 c. whole bran cereal, coarsely crushed
1/4 c. granulated sugar
1 pkg. active dry yeast
1/2 c. warm water (110~ to 115~)
1 egg
1 1/2 c. flour
1 Tbsp. cooking oil
1 c. chopped pecans
1/3 c. packed brown sugar
1/4 c. maple flavored syrup
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Combine cereal, sugar and yeast.
Stir in water.
Let stand 5 minutes.
Add egg, 1/2 cup of the flour, oil and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
Beat at low speed until blended.
Beat on high speed for 3 minutes, scraping bowl.
By hand, stir in remaining flour.
Knead 1 minute.
Place in greased bowl.
Cover; let rise until double (1 hour).
