Appetizer Puffs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    1 tsp. grated onion
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 egg yolk
    salt and pepper to taste
    18 small bread rounds
    2 (2 1/2 oz.) cans deviled meat
Preparation
    Soften cream cheese at room temperature and cream it until it is soft.
    Add onion, baking powder, egg yolk, salt and pepper. Blend all ingredients thoroughly.
    Toast bread rounds.
    Spread deviled meat on the bread rounds.
    Place a heaping spoonful of the cream cheese mixture on top of the deviled meat.
    Place in a moderate oven (375\u00b0) until heated through, lightly browned, and puffy, about 8 to 10 minutes.
