Snowy Meringue With Fruit Melange - cooking recipe
Ingredients

8 egg whites
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 c. sugar
6 to 8 c. fruit (strawberries, blueberries, grapes, melons, apples, etc.)
Preparation

Beat the egg whites and cream of tartar until a peak forms. Add the sugar, a tablespoon at a time, beating well after each addition.
When the meringue stands in glossy peaks and all sugar is dissolved, spoon into a 2 1/2-quart mold.
Pack in carefully to eliminate large air bubbles.
Set the mold in a shallow pan with 1-inch hot water in it.
Bake at 250\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
Remove mold from water and allow to cool until meringue settles.
