Cherry Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. butter or margarine
    4 eggs
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 can cherry pie filling
Preparation
    Cream butter or margarine and sugar until lite and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, alternately with flour; add vanilla. Pour batter into a well-greased oblong pan.
    Mark off 20 squares. Drop 1 tablespoon of filling into each square.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes.
