Broiled Liver And Onions - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 tsp. margarine
    2 c. onions, thinly sliced
    1 lb. beef or calf liver, cut 1 to 1-1/2 inches thick
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    Non-stick vegetable spray
    Chopped parsley for garnish
Preparation
    Preheat broiler.
    Heat skillet; spray well with non-stick vegetable spray and add margarine.
    Separate onions into rings and saute until golden brown.
    Rinse liver and pat dry.
    Season with salt and pepper.
    Broil for 5 minutes for medium, per side.
    Place liver on warm platter.
    Top with onions and chopped parsley. Serves 4.
