Stuffed Green Peppers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 large green peppers
    1 lb. lean ground beef
    1 medium onion, finely chopped
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    1 1/2 c. cooked rice
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce, divided
Preparation
    Wash peppers.
    Cut in half lengthwise.
    Remove seeds and white membrane.
    Crumble beef into 1 1/2-quart microwaveproof dish.
    Add onion.
    Cook in High for about 5 minutes, stirring once during cooking.
    Cook until meat loses its red color.
    Drain.
    Stir in salt, pepper, rice and half of tomato sauce.
    Place in microwaveproof baking dish.
    Top each pepper with remaining tomato sauce.
    Cover with waxed paper and cook on High for 8 to 10 minutes, or just until peppers are tender.
