Cherry Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 tsp. grated orange rind
    2 Tbsp. soft shortening
    1 egg
    1/4 c. orange juice
    1/2 c. warm water
    1 c. canned tart cherries, drained and halved
Preparation
    Mix dry ingredients together.
    Combine shortening, eggs, orange juice, water and cherries.
    Mix well.
    Add to dry ingredients and blend until moistened.
    Place in a greased loaf pan, 9 x 4 x 3-inch.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 55 to 60 minutes.
