Smokey Oven Ribs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lb. spareribs
    3 1/2 c. ketchup
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1/4 liquid smoke
    1/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. firmly packed brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    2 tsp. garlic powder
Preparation
    Cut ribs into serving size pieces.
    Place in a large Dutch oven.
    Add enough water to cover ribs.
    Cover and simmer 45 minutes.
    Drain ribs and place in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.
