Caramel Layers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    3/4 c. quick rolled oats
    1/2 c. butter
    24 light colored caramels
    2 Tbsp. cream
    1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation
    Combine in a mixing bowl:
    1 cup flour, salt, soda, brown sugar and rolled oats.
    Cut in butter until particles are fine.
    Reserve 1 cup.
    Press remaining mixture onto bottom of greased 8-inch square pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
