Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    4 c. flour (self-rising)
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 lb. butter or margarine
    6 eggs
Preparation
    Mix eggs, vanilla and butter or margarine together well.
    Add sugar, then flour and blend well.
    Turn out on well floured pastry sheet.
    Flour top lightly.
    Roll out to desired thickness and cut with 2-inch cutter.
    Place on foiled, lightly buttered cookie sheet.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 6 to 8 minutes.
    They will not be brown. Remove immediately from pan, placing on cooling racks and cool before storing in container.
    These are soft and great to snack on.
    Yields 6 to 8 dozen.
