Shoney'S Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar (I use 3/4 c.)
    1 c. water
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    4 Tbsp. dry strawberry Jell-O
    1 drop lemon flavoring
    2 c. sliced strawberries
    1 (9-inch) baked pie shell
    Cool Whip
Preparation
    Mix together sugar, water and cornstarch; cook over medium heat until thick.
    Remove from heat.
    Add Jell-O and lemon; stir. Add strawberries.
    Pour into baked pie shell.
    Chill several hours.
    Top with Cool Whip and garnish with a few berries.
