Parmesan Creamed Spinach - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
1 medium onion, chopped
1 Tbsp. oil
1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
2 Tbsp. margarine or butter
2 Tbsp. flour
1 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
Preparation

Saute onion in oil until tender, add spinach and cook until thoroughly heated.
Melt 2 tablespoons margarine in saucepan.
Add flour, cook, stirring constantly for 1 minute.
Stir in milk gradually.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened.
Add Parmesan cheese and spinach mixture, salt, pepper and garlic powder.
Can be served immediately, or placed in greased casserole and reheated later.
Do not overcook spinach.
