Frosty Pumpkin Pie - cooking recipe

1 (6 serving size) pkg. instant vanilla pudding and pie filling
1 (16 oz.) can pumpkin
1 c. milk
1/2 tsp. nutmeg (optional)
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 (9 oz.) container whipped topping
1 graham cracker pie crust
Preparation

Combine pie filling mix, pumpkin, milk and spices in a mixing bowl.
Mix slowly with electric mixer or by hand until just blended, about 1 minute.
Fold in whipped topping and spoon mixture into pie crust.
Freeze until firm for 4 hours or overnight.
Let stand at room temperature about 30 minutes before cutting.
Garnish with additional whipped topping if desired. Makes one 9-inch pie.
