Apple Betty - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 medium apples
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    2/3 c. flour
    1 c. rolled oats
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. butter
Preparation
    Peel and
    cut apples into eights.
    Place in large bowl. Add sugar,
    brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg and toss lightly. Place in
    greased
    9-inch
    pan and set aside.
    Combine and mix well the flour, oats, brown sugar, salt and baking soda.
    Add butter and cut
    in
    with
    pastry
    blender
    or fork.
    Sprinkle evenly over apples.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 50 minutes.
