Minestrone(From 1975 Edition) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. Wesson pure vegetable oil
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 c. chopped celery
    2 (6 oz.) cans Hunt's tomato paste
    1 (10 1/2 oz.) can beef broth
    2 1/2 qt. water
    1 c. chopped cabbage
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas and carrots
    2 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. rosemary leaves
    1 (1 lb.) can kidney beans, not drained
    1 c. small elbow macaroni
    grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Cook garlic, onion and celery in Wesson oil in large kettle. Stir in Hunt's tomato paste and next 7 ingredients.
    Bring to boil; cover and simmer slowly for 1 hour.
    Add remaining ingredients, except cheese.
    Cook for 15 minutes more.
    Garnish with Parmesan cheese.
    Serves 6.
