Soft Center Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 1/3 c. yellow cornmeal
    1 c. flour, sifted
    1 tsp. soda
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1 1/4 tsp. salt
    2 c. milk, divided
    2 eggs
    1 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Heat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Place butter in 8 x 8-inch Pyrex dish and heat in oven to melt.
    Sift dry ingredients.
    Stir in 1 cup milk and beaten eggs, then stir in buttermilk and pour into hot Pyrex dish.
    Now follow carefully, pour 1 cup milk over cornmeal mixture, do not stir; bake 35 minutes.
    This is a cornbread with a custard layer.
