Mrs. Patterson'S Tomato Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    30 to 35 large tomatoes (ripe), peeled and chopped
    10 bell peppers, chopped
    5 banana peppers, chopped
    2 large onions, chopped
    2 c. sugar
    1 heaping Tbsp. salt
    2 1/2 c. vinegar
    2 heaping Tbsp. pickling spice, tied in cheesecloth
Preparation
    Use
    a
    6
    to 8 quart pot.
    Start cooking on high for 30 minutes,
    stirring
    occasionally.
    Then
    on
    low
    heat
    for
    45 minutes
    to
    1 hour, stirring often.
    During last 15 minutes of cooking,
    add 1/2 cup sugar and 2 tablespoons flour to thicken. After cooking, remove bag of pickling spice.
    Put in clean jars and seal at once.
