Beet Pickle Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
pinch of salt
2 1/2 c. butter, melted
2 tsp. vanilla
6 eggs, beaten
1/4 c. pickled beets, drained and chopped
Preparation

Sift all dry ingredients together.
Make a well and add melted butter and vanilla; mix.
Add eggs and beat well.
Blend in beets, which have been put through a food grinder.
Pour into greased and floured 9 x 12-inch pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 25 minutes. Frost with butter icing.
Distinctively different.
Serves 16.
