Country Style Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. plain flour
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. plus 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
3/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. shortening (Crisco)
1 egg, beaten
3/4 c. milk
Preparation

Makes 15 large biscuits.
Combine first 5 ingredients, mixing well.
Cut in shortening with pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal.
Combine egg and milk; add to flour mixture and stir until dry ingredients are moistened.
