Minnesota Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 c. unpeeled cukes, sliced thin
    1 green pepper, chopped
    2 Tbsp. salt
    2 large onions
    4 c. sugar
    2 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Put cukes, onions and peppers in a gallon jar, alternating layers.
    Mix sugar, vinegar and salt.
    Pour over cold vegetables in jar.
    Will be ready in 12 hours.
