Gingersnaps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. New Orleans molasses
    1 c. shortening
    2 eggs, well beaten
    1 Tbsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 Tbsp. soda, dissolved in vinegar
    5 c. flour
    1 level tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs, molasses, soda and vinegar.
    Add sifted flour, salt and spices.
    Roll thin on a pastry cloth.
    Bake in moderate oven at 375\u00b0.
    Watch carefully, as ginger cookies burn easily.
