Texas Brownies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 stick butter
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. strong coffee
1/2 c. unsweetened cocoa
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

In a large bowl, combine flour and sugar.
In a saucepan, combine butter, shortening, coffee and cocoa.
Stir and heat to boiling.
Pour boiling mixture over flour and sugar.
Add buttermilk, eggs, baking soda and vanilla.
Mix well with wooden spoon or high speed on mixer.
Pour into a well buttered 17 x 11-inch jelly roll pan.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
Cover with warm frosting.
