Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
    1 can red kidney beans, drained
    1/2 lb. ground beef, browned and drained
    1/2 lb. sweet Italian sausage, browned and drained
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 green pepper, sliced
    1 carrot, peeled and sliced
    1 yellow summer squash, sliced
    1 small can chopped chili peppers
    2 cloves garlic, crushed
    2 tsp. chili powder
    1 c. beer
    1 Tbsp. cooking oil
Preparation
    Place cooking oil in large pot or Dutch oven and add onion and garlic.
    Cook until onion is translucent.
    Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.
    Cover and simmer 1 hour. Garnish with Cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese and sour cream. Serve with tortilla chips.
