Favorite Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    1 c. cornmeal
    1/4 c. sugar
    4 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
    2 eggs
    1/4 c. melted shortening
Preparation
    In a mixing bowl combine flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder and salt.
    Add milk, eggs and shortening.
    Beat for 1 minute. Pour into a greased 9-inch square baking pan.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes or until bread is golden brown and tests done. Yield:
    9 servings.
