Caramel Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. brown sugar, packed in cup
    1/4 c. milk
    2 1/2 c. sifted confectioners sugar
Preparation
    Melt butter in saucepan.
    Add brown sugar.
    Boil over low heat 2 minutes stirring constantly.
    Add milk.
    Keep stirring until mixture boils.
    Remove from heat; cool.
    Add confectioners sugar beating well after each addition until thick enough to spread. Enough to fill and frost an 8 or 9-inch layer cake. Good on spice cake.
