Simmered Corned Beef - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 to 3 1/2 lb. corned beef brisket
    3 c. water
    1 medium onion, thinly sliced
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    2 bay leaves
Preparation
    In a 3-quart casserole, place brisket with water.
    Slice onion over brisket and add garlic and bay leaves.
    Cover; microwave on High for 25 minutes.
    Turn brisket over.
    Re-cover; microwave on Low for 60 to 70 minutes, turning brisket over after 30 minutes.
