Hot-Milk Sponge Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1/2 c. hot milk
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Sift
together
flour,
baking
powder
and
salt.
Add butter to
milk;
keep hot.
Beat eggs until thick and lemon-colored, about
3
minutes at high speed on mixer.
Gradually add
sugar, beating constantly at medium speed 4 to 5 minutes. Quickly add sifted ingredients to egg mixture; stir just until blended.
Stir in
hot
milk mixture and vanilla; blend well. Pour into paper-lined 9 x 1 1/2-inch round pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
Cool cake in pan 15 minutes;
remove to rack.
