Microwave Artichokes - cooking recipe

1 medium (4 inches in diameter) artichoke
Preparation

Wash thoroughly, allowing a small amount of water to cling to leaves.
Wrap in waxed paper and place on glass pie plate (or small glass dish).
Rotate dish one-quarter turn through cooking time.
Cook 6 to 7 minutes.
Rest, covered, 5 minutes before serving.
