Chinese Peas - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. peas (frozen in cooking pouch)
    1 1/2 tsp. cornstarch
    chow mein noodles
    1 1/2 tsp. soy sauce
    1 (2 1/2 oz.) can sliced mushrooms
Preparation
    Cook peas according to directions on package.
    Drain mushrooms, reserving liquid.
    Stir cornstarch and soy sauce into drained mushroom liquid.
    Partially open peas and drain butter sauce into small saucepan.
    Stir in cornstarch mixture.
    Cook over low heat until slightly thickened.
    (Stir constantly.)
    Stir in peas and mushrooms.
    Heat several minutes.
    Serve hot over chow mein noodles.
