Chewy Date Torte - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 eggs
1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. butter or oleo, melted
1 (8 oz.) pkg. pitted dates, chopped
whipped cream
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
2 Tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 c. chopped walnuts
additional chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation

In a mixing bowl, beat eggs.
Gradually add sugar, beating until thoroughly combined.
Combine flour, baking powder and salt; stir into mixing bowl.
Add milk, butter and vanilla; stir just until combined.
Stir in dates and nuts.
Pour into a greased 9-inch square baking pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until the pudding tests done.
Cool.
Cut into squares; top with whipped cream and additional nuts, if desired.
Yield:
9 servings.
