Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (2 lb.) pkg. frozen hash browns
    1/4 c. melted butter
    1 1/4 c. sour cream
    1 can cream of chicken, celery or mushroom soup
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. diced onion
    2 to 3 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    8 oz. sour cream
    8 oz. grated cheese
    garlic salt to taste (optional)
Preparation
    Add soup to melted butter, salt, pepper, onion, 1 1/2 cups Cheddar cheese and sour cream in saucepan.
    Heat and stir briefly. Put frozen hash browns in 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
    Pour contents in saucepan over potatoes.
    Mix until all blended.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
    Sprinkle with remaining cheese.
    Bake 10 minutes more.
