Hilda'S Caramel Apples - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. white sugar
    1/4 c. corn syrup
    3/4 c. canned milk
    1/4 c. water
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 tsp. butter or margarine
Preparation
    Cook to 230\u00b0 (soft ball stage).
    Add vanilla and butter or margarine.
    Beat.
    Add milk to soften as needed.
    Spread on washed, dry apples, to which you have added sticks for handles. Set on waxed paper and cool.
