Christmas Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. Mazola oil
    2 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs
    3 1/2 c. plain flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 box chopped dates
    1 c. broken pecans
    1 c. broken walnuts
    1 1/2 c. raisins
    1 c. candied red cherries, cut up
    1 c. candied green cherries, cut up
Preparation
    Begin with a large bowl as the batter is huge.
    Put oil in bowl.
    Add brown sugar and then eggs.
    Mix together flour, soda and salt.
    Add alternately with the buttermilk.
    Then add remaining ingredients.
    Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls.
    Bake 12 minutes at 375\u00b0.
    Flavor improves the second day.
    Makes 6 dozen cookies.
