Fresh Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    4 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 1/2 c. water
    1 (3 1/2 oz.) pkg. strawberry Jell-O
    1 qt. whole or cut up strawberries
    whipped cream (optional)
    1 baked pie shell
Preparation
    In a heavy 3-quart pan, combine sugar, cornstarch and water. Boil, stirring constantly, until clear.
    Remove from heat; stir in Jell-O.
    Cool.
    Stir in strawberries.
    Pour into baked pie shell. Refrigerate for 4 hours.
    Top with whipped cream.
