Onion Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 medium onions, sliced thin
    4 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 qt. chicken broth
    2 c. cold water
    1 Tbsp. salt
    pepper to taste
    2 c. egg noodles
    1/4 lb. grated Swiss cheese
Preparation
    Brown onions in melted butter until golden brown.
    Add broth and water, salt and pepper.
    Bring to boil 10 minutes.
    Add egg noodles; cook 30 minutes.
    Add grated Swiss cheese and let stand until cheese melts.
