Barbecued Beef Sandwiches - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 boneless beef brisket (2 1/2 lb.)
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1/3 c. ketchup
1/4 c. red wine vinegar
1/4 c. minced onion
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. dried oregano
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. water
1 bottle barbecue sauce (18 oz.)

Preparation

Place brisket in a large Dutch oven or soup kettle.
Combine next 10 ingredients. Pour over brisket.
Add water.
Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 4 1/2 to 5 hours, until meat is tender.
Remove brisket and discard marinade.
Shred meat. Return to Dutch oven.
Add barbecue sauce and cook until heated through, stirring frequently.
Spoon on hamburger buns.
Yields 10 to 12 servings.
