Pear Clafouti - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 medium pears, peeled, cored and chopped, or 1 (29 oz.) can drained and chopped pears
    3 eggs
    1 1/4 c. milk
    1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/3 c. sugar
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. rum extract
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
Preparation
    If using canned pears, place on paper towels to drain thoroughly.
    In small mixer bowl, beat eggs with electric mixer until foamy.
    Add milk, flour, sugar, vanilla, rum extract, salt and nutmeg.
    Beat at low speed until smooth.
    Spread pears in greased 10-quiche dish or pie pan.
    Pour batter over pears.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 to 60 minutes or until a knife inserted off center comes out clean.
    Let stand 15 minutes.
    Garnish with whipped cream and poached pears is optional and not included in nutritional analysis.
    Serves 8.
