Cashew-Butter Crunch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. chopped cashews
    1/2 c. butter (not margarine)
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. white corn syrup
Preparation
    Line bottom and sides of a 9-inch round baking pan with foil. Butter the foil heavily.
    Set pan aside.
    In a 10-inch skillet, combine cashews, butter, sugar and syrup.
    Cook over medium heat until sugar is melted and mixture turns golden brown, stirring constantly (about 8 to 9 minutes).
    Quickly spread mixture in pan. Cool for about 15 minutes or until firm.
    Remove candy by lifting edges of foil.
    Peel off foil.
    Cool thoroughly.
    Candy may be left as a disc or broken into pieces.
    Makes about 1/2 to 3/4 pound.
