Buttery Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. granulated sugar
    1 c. light corn syrup
    1/2 c. water
    1 c. butter or margarine
    2 c. peanuts
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Heat and stir corn syrup, sugar and water until sugar dissolves.
    When mixture boils, blend in butter.
    Stir often after 230\u00b0.
    Add nuts at 280\u00b0.
    Stir constantly to 305\u00b0.
    Remove from heat and stir in baking soda.
    Mix well.
    Pour out onto buttered cookie sheets.
    Allow to cool.
