Cream Of Broccoli Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large can chicken broth
    1 large head broccoli (finely chopped)
    1 medium to large onion, finely chopped
    1 stick margarine
    4 Tbsp. flour
    2 to 3 c. mild Cheddar cheese
    2 qt. half and half
Preparation
    Cook together until broccoli is very tender.
    Melt 1 stick margarine in a small saucepan.
    When melted, stir in approximately 4 tablespoons flour.
    Mix to form a soft smooth paste.
    Stir into boiling vegetable mixture.
    You may add 2 to 3 cups mild Cheddar cheese at this time if you like broccoli cheese soup.
    Stir well and boil for a couple of minutes.
    Add 2 quarts half and half. Immediately turn burner to simmer.
    Season with salt and pepper to taste.
