Ingredients

2 Tbsp. butter
2 tsp. flour
1/4 c. beet juice from can
1/3 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. vinegar
dash of salt
dash of pepper
1/8 tsp. cloves
2 1/2 c. canned sliced beets
Preparation

Melt butter.
Add flour and beet juice.
Blend well and cook until thickened, stirring constantly.
Add brown sugar, vinegar, salt, pepper and cloves.
Stir until sugar is dissolved.
Drain beets.
Add to hot liquid.
Heat on medium heat thoroughly.
