Seven Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    lettuce (fresh head or the prepackaged salad mix)
    onions (scallions, use green tips also)
    canned or frozen English peas (I use canned)
    celery (optional, I don't use it)
    2 c. cheese (Mozzarella and Cheddar mixed, 1 c. each)
    1 pt. mayonnaise
    1/4 c. sugar
    bacon bits or salad toppings (optional)
Preparation
    Layer salad, onions, peas and celery in a 13 x 9-inch casserole dish.
    Sprinkle cheese on top.
    Mix the mayonnaise and sugar well.
    Spread on top of the cheese.
    Sprinkle with bacon bits or salad toppings.
    Refrigerate.
