Sauerkraut Roll-Ups - cooking recipe

2 (8 oz.) pkg. Pillsbury crescent rolls
1/2 jar sauerkraut, rinsed well and drained
1 medium onion, chopped
salt and pepper
bay leaf
Preparation

Saute onion in butter.
Mix kraut with onion in skillet; add bay leaf, salt and pepper to cover.
Simmer slowly until tender, stirring occasionally.
Let cool.
Unroll crescent rolls.
Tear on perforation.
Place triangles with wide part toward you.
Place some kraut mixture on crescent roll, rolling up away from you. Place on cookie sheet, brush with beaten egg and bake 15 minutes at 350\u00b0 or until golden.
