Pickle Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium white onions
    4 qt. cucumbers, grated
    2 green peppers
    5 c. sugar
    3 c. vinegar
    1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
    1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
    2 Tbsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Set the onions, cucumbers and peppers in salt water for 3 hours (1 gallon water to 1 tablespoon salt).
    After 3 hours, drain off liquid and rinse good.
    Bring the sugar, vinegar, turmeric, celery seed and mustard seed to a boil.
    Add other mixture; bring to good boil.
    Seal in jars.
