Corn Chowder With Red Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. oleo
    1/2 c. chopped ham
    1 medium onion, coarsely chopped
    1 celery stalk, coarsely chopped
    1/2 tsp. dried thyme
    3 or 4 medium red potatoes, cut into cubes
    2 c. chicken broth
    salt and pepper
    1 (16 oz.) can creamed corn
    2 c. skim milk
    3 Tbsp. oleo
    3 Tbsp. flour
    chopped parsley
    crumbled bacon for garnish
Preparation
    Melt oleo.
    Add ham, onion and celery.
    Saute about 10 minutes.
    Add thyme and potatoes and cook, stirring.
    Add chicken broth; bring to a boil.
    Lower heat.
    Salt and pepper to taste. Simmer about 15 minutes.
    Add corn and milk and heat until simmering.
