Potato Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 potatoes, diced
    4 oz. ham (sandwich ham), cut into shreds
    2 medium onions, chopped
    1 Tbsp. minced parsley
    2 c. milk
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. flour
Preparation
    Peel
    potatoes
    and dice.
    Soak in cold water.
    Fry ham and onions
    together until nicely browned.
    Drain diced potatoes and place layer in bottom of stew pot.
    Add layer of ham and
    onions then
    sprinkle with parsley.
    Repeat layers until all
    is
    used. Cover completely with water.
    Bring to boiling point
    over
    medium heat
    and cook until potatoes are tender. Add
    milk,
    salt
    and pepper.
